Flash Mobs

Flash Mobs are appearing more frequently, and security-minded people don't seem to take to them very well. Interesting points: Doonesbury as public address system; Singaporean Flashing...

On Tuesday, cartoonist Gary Trudeau used his comic strip Doonesbury to issue an invitation for a Seattle flash mob in support of democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean. That event is scheduled for Saturday.

Singapore mobsters say they meet to "break the monotony in a city that is used to a routine of shopping and consuming" and refer to themselves as "urban misadventurers bent on breaking up the blah in city life."

"No violence, no nastiness, no crybabies, and no passive 'observers,'" are welcome in Singapore's mob.
