Wood and Corian Done Wrong
a-matter has a little feature on new building materials. Two of them caught my eye:
bendywood - chemically untreated beech that can be bent and shaped by hand to very small radii, and then bent and shaped
again. Instructions say not to use it as lawn furniture because rain will cause it to deform.
Loftcube - a self-contained rooftop living unit made almost entirely out of CORIAN. 55,000 euro.
