Boys Beware
Wa'il pointed me to the
Prelinger Archives, a collection of "ephemeral films" (ads, educational, industrial, amateur). For example,
Boys Beware, an anti-homosexual film from 1961: "He has a sickness you can't see like smallpox, but it's just as contagious." Even better,
Last Date, a stern warning against Teenicide: "the fine art of killing yourself and maybe somebody else before you're the age of 20--you do it with an automobile."
The most dated thing about these movies isn't the heavy morality; it's the tediously slow pacing. Set aside a good 10 to 15 minutes for each movie.
The magnificent
Duck and Cover is on archive.org too. I don't think it's part of the Prelinger Archives, though.
