Seeing dead bodies became as common as seeing live ones. Iraqis, the enemies in the beginning, were also some of his closest friends by tour's end.
"You went to shoot some rag heads?'' one of his old high school buddies asked when he returned. "Don't call them 'rag heads,'" Pasciuti responded.
