The DELCA projectThe main concept of DELCA is to create artificial intelligent assisting agents, with whom the user can fluently conversate and communicate.
These agents are better known as Ghosts.
The Ghosts are not only able to talk and think like human beings, but they are also emotional and sensitive spirits. The Ghosts have feelings and highly complex sets of behaviours.
Each Ghost has a distinct personality and history, and apparently they can learn, even compete with each other to be popular among the, uh, living. Here's the Ghost name PrinterJan:
Characteristics: Former RankXerox service consultant with an Easteuropean background. Inventor of the now famous butt-copy practical joke back in 1964. Lost his job due to an accident in 1973 when the glass broke under his substantial weight. Unable to sit or sleep for 2 months after the accident, he passed out from a heartattack. Holds an unlimited access to all computer printer manuals in the world, which he knows forwards and backwards.
And this is Muse, the radio/music agent:
History: Muse was the victim of her parents desire to raise a wonder child. By the age of 6 she could forcefully play No. 3 Piano Sonata by Chopin. By the age of 13 she had no friends. By the age of 17 she had no life. By the age of 21 she decided to enjoy life ... the after life.
Muse commited suicide and found her existence on the other side to be much more fun and jolly. She stills show a great deal of interest in music and wants to spread the love and joy of the artform.
Creepy. But cool.
