Devil's Due

Things seem to be
unraveling for Frank. Here's Toronto's reaction to his World Cup Trophy:
When Gehry pulled the covering off the trophy, it was like someone had tugged the burlap bag off the Elephant Man.
Meanwhile, no one's coming out and saying the Stata Center at MIT is a success, like with the Disney hall.
The New York Times and
The Boston Globe both keep using the word "experimental" when I think they really mean "wasteful." Has collaboration ever really required 40-foot ceilings?
Our office got a walkthrough just before the building opened, and it's funky, sure, lots of custom plywood furniture, plenty of gratuitous angles, and one major cantilevered bridge that only architects and engineers will notice. I didn't get a sense that there'd be any orangutan-like socializing just because of the space, though. I did get a sense that visitors would get lost in the 3d maze. Think that will sit well with People of Science?
It might sit well with postmodern/decon writers. I like mazes. Wasteful, hopeless, irrational mazes. But I digress...
