control room
Last night I saw a special screening of Jehane Noujaim's documentary "Control Room." It has been getting the most amazing hype, so much so that I figured I could only be disappointed. I was not. Beautifully edited, the movie is smart and sensitive. It pulls its punches, taking care not to beat the audience over the head, but rather letting the audience come to its own conclusions: a much more effective method of getting people to change their minds rather than the strident rhetoric that preaches only to the choir.
