A great moment of Bush logic: at an
appearance on Tuesday, a reporter asked why the administration insisted upon a relationship between Hussein and al Qaeda "when even [the President has] denied any connection between Saddam and September 11, and now the September 11 commission says that there was no collaborative relationship at all?" Bush replied:
"The reason I keep insisting that there was a relationship between Saddam and al Qaeda, because there was a relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda."
Meanwhile, Harper's reports that just 36 days before the US invasion of Iraq, Osama referred to Saddam as a "socialist infidel."
