McDormers

Rami was the first to spot this spectacular nod to "contextualism" on the Mass Pike. Never mind that there isn't even a context in that bleakscape, and never mind that it just doesn't make sense to have dormers over a floor that has no thickness, and never mind that there isn't any room or structural support for mechanical (it'd be too loud there anyway)... just never mind.

This is a comment for Joshua! Sorry, NOT related to McDormers...

First of all, gongrats on your guys highly interesting blog, i could not believe to read on one silngle page two phenomenal architecture related topics such as Ronchamp in China and -in reversed cultural direction- the Forbidden City in Texas...

Since April 29 2004, the Ronchamp story has hit four or five architecture/design related forums/ blogs - but no there on-line media,..worldwide...
Everybody (including you) referes to the Chinese architect student that published his pictures from a trip to Zhenzou in a chinese blog.

My question: Did you find *any* other source on this?
