bad taste
Supposedly, the beauty of the free market is that it can cater to every possible need, no matter how obscure. I used to think that this was just neo-liberal rubbish, what Joe Stieglitz calls "market fundamentalism." But now I, too, see the light.
For example: how about those folks who worry that their candy is just not racist enough? Apparently, they're out there, and the market is taking care of their needs. Vide this salt licorice, purchased from a 7-11 in Copenhagen. Salt licorice is a disgusting, jet-black goop that is one of the specialities of Scandinavia. It is easily moulded into a range of forms--apparently including evil and despotic Chinamen, Africans and Aztecs.
Interestingly, Copenhagen is a racially diverse, cosmopolitan city. The candy sucks, tho.
