done right this time
Hedgehog's Prada building in Aoyama came out really, really well. This one is quite different from Rem's toothless SoHo effort. It's not a sheep in wolf's clothing. This building's innovations are genuinely innovative, and they're carefully integrated into a whole that's more than the sum of its bits. Shing and I also really liked the fact that H & deM chose to shift their aesthetic towards an almost-camp Japanese futurism. And the floating tubes (actually stockrooms and seating areas) really read. Slick.
