Soap Conducts Electricty!

I learned, through practical experience, that soap is conductive. I went to wash my hands and got a huge discharge when I touched the liquid soap dispenser. I don't know why, but I find it unnerving to get a spark from a gel. Unnerving... and somewhat inspiring. Too bad I'm not learned enough to know what one might do with a conductive gel. I guess it shall remain simply unnerving.
