Maximum Memory through Minimizing
I just read this note from our tech department:
If you send your application to the back it will continue to consume the same amount of memory as it did when it was in the front; however, if you minimize your application it will only keep the bare minimum amount of memory required to keep it open, and will write the rest to the Hard Disk cache. The result can be dramatic! Try it with Photoshop and Illustrator or with Outlook and Word.
Excuse me if this is already common knowledge, but to me it's new and useful. Thought I'd share.
