Singapore leads by example

Finally cottoning on to its reputation for the world's most awful toilets, Beijing is holding the 2004 World Toilet Summit in order to "showcase efforts to transform the capital's lavatories from foul to fragrant, crude to cultured."

The most highly anticipated panel will be concerned with that mainstay of Asian public discourse, "which way do YOU face in the squat-type stalls?" Well, no, I made that up... but Asia and I would still really like to know the answer, if anyone knows.
