Fireplace-Curtain, patent pending

Boing Boing: Soft oven

I'm happy that this soft (cloth) oven exists and works. I wanted to make a fireplace-curtain out of Nomex, back in school. Then I found out that Nomex degrades rapidly when exposed to ultraviolet light. That would be a nasty surprise, but then again, maybe not surprising at all since you just put a flaming log in your drapes.
