Improv Everywhere Mission: Look Up Morevia
MetaFilterPeople assemble in the heavily glazed windows fronting Union Square (NY) and stage a dance routine. Somewhere between high concept art and flash mobs. Is it just me, or has
this kind of contemporary situationalism lost its novelty? I mean, it's funny and all, but it's not the shocking, inspirational thing it used to be. (And wasn't there an installation like this 30 years ago or so, involving dancers in a Mies facade?) It's just amusing now. What's next?
You know what could be next? Actually creating beautiful things, goddammit. Enough culture jamming, let's get on with the
makey-make.
