kottkeReminds me of a smartypants philosophy major at Yale who quietly stuck a plaque next to the fire alarm at the art gallery. The plaque read, "
Untitled, 1993. Red plastic." Then he took a picture of it, made a hundred postcards and put the stack of cards next to the register at the gift shop. His friends--and I assume unwitting pop art and situationalist lovers--bought out the stack, one by one. The innocent work-study students at the register would charge the regular price of a postcard, and when the cards were sold out they apologized that they didn't know how to re-order them.
Yes, I know, the pranking the MoMA is a little more ballsy.
