Here's one from cheeky architecture collective
Heavy Trash. Orange viewing platforms are erected outside LA gated communities, allowing outsiders to step up and peer in. The installations are located at 3rd Street and Burnside Avenue, at West Sunset Boulevard and North Gunston Drive at Brentwood Circle, and Los Feliz Boulevard and Cummings Drive at Laughlin Park.
Another project of theirs commented on the failure to pass an initiative for a subway line in LA. Heavy Trash made perfectly realistic subway signs (from the actual proposal), and erected them throughout the city. It strikes me that this is the type of work that many of us once wanted to do, and--well, you know.
