Sad or promising?

Ready-to-build houses featuring the quaintest of the quaint. I dare you to browse through "Contemporary house plans" and not curse under your breath. By the way, did anyone else know that "Florida Cracker" was a type of house?

So this seems like it could be something of a business, for those of us who can design "contemporary" houses that don't resemble A-frame ski lodges, anyway. They charge about $600/design, double that for CAD drawings. How much is your time worth? How good are you at designing buildings that may be produced in multiples? How tied are you to that genius loci thing?
